The Peninsula in Jamestown

Location was what we were looking for and that was great. Bed rooms were clean. The rest of the house was beat up. Did not utilize out side as it was either overgrown in the front , or very dirty out back. Floors were sticky. Couches and kitchen chairs stained and smelled like dog. Kitchen in general was just poor. Nothing like other vrbos we have stayed in before. Not what we expected and not like the photos on line.

House could use some love but overall a good stay!

The house was not cleaned well when we arrived. I contacted the host and didn’t hear back for 3 days. They told me they would reimburse the cleaning fee- but that never happened. The house is in need of repair and there are several safety concerns. Missing electrical plate covers on the deck, rot on the deck and siding, the property was just not kept up.

The property was not as advertised. The hot tub was empty and broken. The house was clean to the eye, however the cockroaches running all over the kitchen was disgusting. I attempted to contact the people on the numbers they left and received no response. In order to watch television, I had to go out and buy batteries for the dead remotes. At night we were forced to use the flashlights on our phones to navigate the dark hallways because the lights did not function. It smelled like someone dies in the master bathroom. It may have been the mold in the ceiling from the leaking roof? Until the owners take some time to care for their place it should be removed as a listing so that other families do not suffer the date we did.

Hot tub advertised was not in working order. Perhaps provide in season dates for guests.
